The Sena Madureira prison, which also serves the districts of Manoel Urbano and Santa Rosa, has a new director as of this Monday (13). The State Government published in the Official Gazette the dismissal of the criminal police officer Jair Silva, who held the position, and the appointment of Wesley Silva de Souza, also a criminal police officer, to take command of the prison unit.
The change in prison management occurs amid political adjustments in the state, marked by the removal of positions linked to former federal deputy Gerlen Diniz. Wesley da Silva is nominated by the political group of Mazinho Serafim, former mayor of Sena Madureira, with the support of state deputy Gilberto Lira.
