Military expert and development director of the Defense Express company, Valerii Riabykh, has described “hard blow” the destruction of the oil depot of the Russian city of Engels. This infrastructure supplied fuel vital for the Russian strategic aviation aircraft and has become in recent days one of the greatest achievements of the Ukrainian Army against the invading forces of the Russian Federation.
“He Engels oil depot and Engels-2 air base are connected to each other. The oil deposit is a subdivision of the so-called Rosrezerv and is called Kristal. It supplies fuel to Russian strategic aviation aircraft”, specialized in defensive information and armed conflicts.
According to the development director of Defense Express, the damage to the aforementioned oil deposit is an event of great importancesince it had the strategic reserves of the special fuel used by the Tu-95 and other Russian aviation aircraft, the so-called T-1, whose reserves could have been destroyed. “It is worth noting that the production capacity of this fuel in Russia it’s not that big“, points out the aforementioned media.

The military expert also added that Russia’s strategic component is currently partially immobilized due to the destruction of critical fuel reserves for Russian aviation.
Last January 8, in the evening, a drone attack was reported in the Russian city of Engels, in the Saratov region. The Ukrainian Defense Forces claimed responsibility for the attack.
