The Mobile Police Station for Football and Events (Demafe) of the Civil Police of Paraná () states that fans involved in a series of clashes in the opening round of the Paraná Championship will be identified and held responsible for their actions. According to the police, fights between Athletico and Paraná Clube fans were recorded near the Ligga Arena and in other parts of Curitiba and the Metropolitan Region last Saturday (11), the day of the competition’s opening classic.
According to delegate Luiz Carlos de Oliveira, Demafe teams are already analyzing video records of conflicts to identify those involved. He lamented the fact, which he classifies as a sad “routine in the city”.

“We started the 2025 Paranaense Championship with the Athletico and Paraná game. This game took place inside the stadium normally. However, outside of it, several fights took place in the city, probably at the hands of fans. This has unfortunately happened, it is a routine in our city. But we will identify and hold responsible the fans involved in these fights”, says the delegate.
Fights between fans scare residents of Greater Curitiba
Among the fights recorded, one of them occurred at the Ligga Arena. Residents in the stadium area recorded videos of the confusion among fans. The video shows a rush by rival groups of fans. Then, some of them even throw firecrackers towards the other group.
In another case, four Athletico fans went to Fazenda Rio Grande, in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba. Firecrackers and various objects were seized from them, which, according to the Municipal Guard, are used in fights with rival fans. (watch below).
Furthermore, teenagers were found among the fans and referred to the Guardianship Council. The four detained fans were subsequently released, after signing a detailed statement.
