The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro arrested, in the early hours of this Sunday (12), one of those involved in the theft of a load with 10 thousand ammunition, which occurred in April 2024, in the Pavuna neighborhood, in the north zone of Rio.
The man was located based on intelligence surveys and monitoring by the team at the Cargo Robbery and Theft Police Station (DRFC). He already had a long criminal record, with at least eight notes.
In a statement, the corporation reported that the arrest occurred when the man was in a bar, in Parque Analândia, in Duque de Caxias, Baixada Fluminense.
On the night of the crime, the prisoner and his accomplices broke into the premises of a transport company, stealing ammunition of different calibers from a transport company.
The cargo was taken to Complexo do Alemão and was intended to supply and strengthen the Red Command (CV), a criminal faction that exploits the community.
During the investigation, the criminals were identified and their arrests were ordered. In addition to him, other criminals were arrested during a police operation in May last year.
The arrest was recorded following an arrest warrant for major cargo theft and criminal association.
