Temperatures will drop from this Monday onwards, especially the minimum temperatures, reaching -2 degrees Celsius in some interior regions, meteorologist Patrícia Gomes told the Lusa agency.
“We will see a gradual decrease in temperature values, mainly the minimum and this decrease will last until Wednesday, the 15th. Depending on the location for today, the decrease will be between 04 and 08 degrees Celsius. They drop a little more in the coastal region because the inland regions have been lower in recent days”, he said.
According to the meteorologist from the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (), for this Monday, light or clear skies are expected for this Monday, a drop in temperatures, the formation of frost mainly in the interior and a generally weak wind, blowing more intensely in the highlands.
“For today, minimum temperatures of -2 degrees Celsius are forecast for Bragança and Guarda, in Vila Real 02 degrees, Viana do Castelo 06, Porto and Lisbon 09 and Faro 08“, he indicated.
For Tuesday, according to Patrícia Gomes, a further drop in the minimum is expected, with lower values in the interior regions. They are forecast for Bragança and Guarda -4 degrees, Vila Real -1, Lisbon and Viana do Castelo 04 and Évora 02 degrees”, he said.
As for maximum temperatures, the meteorologist said that this Monday they will fluctuate in the coastal regions between 14 and 18 degrees and in the interior between 7 and 11.
“On Tuesday, the maximum temperatures will vary between 12 and 15 degrees on the coast and no more than 10 degrees in the interior,” he said.
From Wednesday onwards, a variation in temperatures is expected, with highs in some places and drops in others.
“There is no rain forecast. Everything indicates that at least until the end of the week we will have partly cloudy or clear skies, generally weak wind, frost especially in the interior regions and a stabilization of temperatures from Wednesday onwards”, he said.
