Already in February 2023, the police charged five natural persons as part of the Valentine’s Day event. The chairman of KSK Rastislav T., who denies the guilt, was then accused in the case of suspicions of influencing the specification during the procurement of four Tatra vehicles. The businessman Richard R., the then general director of the KSK Road Administration Anton T. and two other persons were also accused.
In 2020 and 2021, as part of anti-epidemic measures, KSK procured a total of 205 transition thermometers for more than 178,000 euros and the KSK Road Administration procured four Tatra trucks with superstructures for winter and summer maintenance for 1.3 million euros in 2020. Critics objected that these were overpriced purchases, which the region denied.
