These 4 elements will disappear from interiors in 2025. Do you have them in your apartment?

Interior doors are one of those interior elements that, at first glance, may not seem very important. However, such thinking is a big mistake! Thanks to them, we have a great influence on the perception of the entire space of our apartment. Therefore, it is worth paying attention to the product we choose. Milling cutters have been becoming a thing of the past for some time now, and in 2025, low walls and milled doors that stand out from the background are a real interior design faux-pas. Their place will be taken by minimalist and hidden doors that reach up to the ceiling.

Almost everyone knows that hanging a TV on the wall is not only fashionable, but also functional. However, many people do not want to leave a “bare” wall behind it. For this purpose, they created various types of stucco or slabs that created more or less geometric shapes. Such attention-grabbing TV walls in 2025 are also a thing of the past. Their place will be taken by simple and minimalist TV walls. This does not mean that we completely give up additional accents. We simply create them where we want to direct our eyes, usually farther from the TV.

In the past, the ceiling was a space painted white, and the only objects on it were lamps. Over time, this changed a little – colors, stucco and LED installations began to appear on the ceilings. But decorating with exaggerated suspended ceilings and LED lights will also be a faux-pas in 2025. This year, suspended ceilings will still be on top, but in a more minimalist version. Additionally, designers will try to hide various types of lighting in them.

This is another critical point in interior design. For a long time there was a belief (some still do!) that they had to be identical to the floor, and preferably richly decorated. These are actually two mistakes that should be avoided in 2025. First of all, skirting boards are an extension of the walls and should match their colors as much as possible. Secondly in 2025, palace skirting boards will become a thing of the past (of course, apart from manors, palaces and tenement houses). Their place will be taken by minimalist skirting boards, preferably hidden in the wall!
