xAI has launched an iOS app in the US for its Grok chatbot. The standalone application version of the chatbot can perform the same functions as the one integrated with X, providing real-time information, answering questions and generating images. The app is not yet available in Brazil.
xAI began testing the standalone Grok iOS app in December in select countries. There is no information on when it might be released for Android.
While Grok was initially only available to Premium X subscribers, the platform began allowing all users to access the chatbot last month, as well as other free-to-use chatbots such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Claude, Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot.

According to the website TechCrunch, xAI is also working on a website dedicated to Grok.com, which currently displays a “coming soon” message.
After raising $6 billion in June, xAI announced another $6 billion round of funding, including from “strategic investors” like Nvidia and AMD.
