A 13-year-old girl was caught by a car at a pedestrian crossing on the road near the village of Bottovo in the Rimavská Sobota district on Monday (January 13). He was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The Banská Bystrica regional police reported on this on Tuesday on the social network.
“The driver of a Škoda Fabia passenger car, driving in the direction from the village of Pavlovce to Martinová, caught a 13-year-old pedestrian with the front part of the vehicle, who at that time she was crossing a properly marked crosswalk. According to the preliminary medical report, she suffered serious injuries,” the police said. She called an expert from the transport department to the scene of the accident.
The closer circumstances of the accident and the degree of fault are the subject of further investigation. “An authorized member of the District Traffic Inspectorate in Rimavská Sobota has initiated criminal prosecution for the offense of bodily harm in connection with the traffic accident,” added the police.
