Fabrício Queirozformer advisor to Flavio Bolsonaro and a central figure in the case known as “rachadinha”, he was appointed undersecretary of Security and Public Order of Saquarema, in Rio de Janeiro.
Publication in the municipality’s Official Gazette took place on Monday (13).
The position, of a commissioned nature, represents the highest level for this category in the municipality. On the city’s Transparency Portal, there is no information about Queiroz’s salary.
Based on previously published documents, it is estimated that the former advisor will receive more than R$10,000 per month.
Saquarema City Hall reported that “the appointment of Fabrício Queiroz to the position of Undersecretary of Security was carried out in accordance with current legislation”.
“Queiroz is a retired PM and has thirty years in the security sector and experience to hold the position in public administration”, says the note.

The role assigned to Queiroz involves managing security policies, integrating forces and meeting municipal public order demands.
The appointment takes place after the inauguration of Mayor Lucimar Vidal (PL), party of the former president Jair Bolsonaro.
The relationship between Fabrício Queiroz and the Bolsonaro family has been marked by ups and downs since the beginning of investigations into the financial embezzlement scheme in the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro (Alerj).

In 2024, Flávio Bolsonaro reconnected with his former advisor, recording a video in support of his candidacy for Saquarema City Council. Despite this, Queiroz was not elected, receiving 588 votes.
In 2022, Queiroz had already attempted a political career by running for a state deputy seat in Rio. At the time, he stated that he would have been “the most voted deputy in the State” if he had had the explicit support of the Bolsonaro family, something that did not happen that year.
Arrested in 2020
Fabrício Queiroz was arrested in 2020 on suspicion of running a “rachadinhas” scheme when Flávio Bolsonaro held a seat in Alerj.

Despite the accusations, he was released in 2021, and the case was closed for procedural reasons in 2022. Still, he remains a defendant in other legal proceedings.
The Public Ministry pointed out atypical movements of R$1.2 million in Queiroz’s accounts, identified by Coaf.
At the time, the former advisor justified the values by stating that he traded cars. The merits of the main accusation, however, were never judged due to the case being closed.
