The Municipality of São Brás de Alportel delivered a vote of praise to firefighter Pedro Brito, who once again became World Unified MTB Champion.

Pedro José Viegas Brito, 62 years old, is a second-class firefighter, volunteering at the Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of São Brás de Alportel, since November 1999, working since 2020.

“An active sports practitioner, persistent and passionate about two-wheeled sports, Pedro maintains excellent physical shape and combines the healthy nature of this practice with the development of his Firefighter Mission in São Brás de Alportel”, says in a statement.

Recently, he won the title of “Uniform MTB World Champion, for the 2nd time, in Bourg and Saint Montan, France, where he participated in representation of the uniform and flag of the São Brás de Alportel Volunteer Firefighters, alongside 90 athletes from different backgrounds. countries”.

“For his personal journey as an athlete, for the success achieved across borders and the recent international title, achieved with dedication, self-will, love of cycling and a sense of representing the firefighter’s mission to the World, from his homeland”, the municipal executive of São Brás de Alportel delivered, on November 19th, the vote of praise to Pedro Brito, recognizing “his value and performance that make the municipality, the community and its institution, the Fire Department, very proud”.
