Marketer Sidônio Palmeira took office as the new minister of Secom (Communication Secretariat) of the Presidency of the Republic this Tuesday (14).
In his first speech at the head of the department, Sidônio cited the obstacle between the federal government and the company that owns Instagram and WhatsApp, following changes in fact checking and lamented extremism.
Head of the electoral campaign for () in 2022, he assumes the position previously held by Paulo Pimenta.
Also participating in this Tuesday’s ceremony were the vice-president, Geraldo Alckmin, the first lady, Janja, and the ministers of State Ricardo Lewandowski (Justice and Public Security), José Múcio (Defense), Fernando Haddad (Finance), Esther Dweck (Management and Innovation) and Margareth Menezes (Culture).
