Can’t wait for vegetables from your own crops? If you want to enjoy their taste faster than your neighbor, sow them at home, in a greenhouse, on the balcony or terrace.. This should not be done in the garden in January due to low temperatures and little sunlight.

These thermophilic vegetables need a temperature of 21-25 degrees Celsius to germinate. That’s why it is best to place pots of peppers at home or in a greenhouse. Once they sprout, we move them to a room with a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius.
This vegetable takes a long time to develop, so it is best to sow it at the end of January. It needs a higher room temperature than peppers – from 22 to 26 degrees Celsius. Therefore, we must place the eggplant on a sunny windowsill or in a greenhouse. After germination, we transplant it to a larger pot to allow it to grow freely. Let’s provide it with fertile soil.
Their cultivation is not that popular in Poland, but it is not difficult. Just put the sweet potato tubers in a pot with moist soil and place them on the windowsill or on the veranda.. Then we just have to wait for germination. It will take 6 weeks, so we will enjoy ripe vegetables in spring.
To grow vegetables, we only need universal soil and a few pots. Remember to first clean them of old soil that may contain mold or pests.
It is best to place peppers, chili, eggplants and sweet potatoes planted in a pot on the windowsill of a south-eastern window.. In this place, they will have access to sunlight for most of the day. However, avoid placing them above radiators – hot and dry air has a bad effect on plants. They may even get burned.
In winter, we water vegetables moderately, i.e. only when the soil dries out slightly. This way we will prevent them from overflowing.
When it comes to fertilization, we do not need to do it right after sowingbecause plants use the reserves of nutrients contained in the substrate. We can implement this treatment when the first leaves appear.
