In an interview with Globo, the victim’s mother, Vanessa Priscila dos Santos, reported that the shot was accidentally fired during a police approach.
According to her, the police officer was attacking her other son, Kauê Alexandre dos Santos Lima, when the gun fired and hit Victoria. The young woman did not survive the injury. Vanessa also mentioned that it took almost an hour for help to arrive at the scene of the incident.
