This quick potato salad will delight you simplicity and universality. Delicate pieces of potatoes in a creamy sauce based on cream and French mustard, seasoned with fresh dill and herbal pepper – a fantastic combination of taste and texture. Perfect as an addition to meat, grilled food or an independent snack for every occasion. Pleasantly creamy and slightly spicy, it suits both the holiday table and summer barbecues.
Ingredients:
- a kilogram of potatoes,
- 2 teaspoons of French mustard,
- 200 ml of cream,
- a spoon of vinegar,
- fresh dill,
- salt, black and herbal pepper.
How to do it:
To prepare the salad choose firmer potatoes with low starch contentand they will not fall apart when cutting. Boil the potatoes in their jacketsthen cool, peel and cut into large cube-like pieces. Transfer the potatoes to a bowl. If you want to enhance the flavor, also add finely chopped onion and shallot.
In a separate vessel mix the cream with mustard, vinegar and finely chopped dill. For a lighter version, use yogurt instead of cream, and those who prefer creamy flavors will certainly add a spoonful of mayonnaise to the sauce. Pour the dressing over the salad, season with salt, black and herbal pepperthen mix thoroughly and put in the refrigerator for about an hour to cool.
Serve this quick potato salad on its own, as an addition to meat or grilled dishes.
