US authorities have discovered a sophisticated smuggling tunnel connecting Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, to El Paso, Texas. The tunnel, 1.8 meters high and 1.2 meters wide, had electric lighting, ventilation and was supported by wooden beams.
The entrance was camouflaged in El Paso’s drainage system, covered by a metal plate. Remains of clothing and trash were found at the scene.
The discovery occurred after reports of suspicious movements. Authorities are investigating whether the tunnel was used for human or drug trafficking, as they plan to seal it. This case reflects the joint efforts between the two countries to combat crime on the border.
A new massive tunnel has been discovered.

Preliminarily, the tunnel that connected Ciudad Juárez with El Paso, Texas, was attributed to the Juárez Cartel, a criminal group that disputes the territory with the Sinaloa Cartel. with | | Follow the sign
