Here in the Czech Republic, we are used to certain things that should not be missing in houses. Radiators, gas, electricity, heat pump or oils. According to the Czechs, all this belongs in every house.
Of course, it makes sense, many people cannot imagine a single day of winter without heating. However, a new construction phenomenon has appeared in Germany, which opens up completely unimagined possibilities. It’s called ZiHaus and it’s absolutely revolutionary.

A new type of ZiHaus house
ZiHaus is a new brick innovative house. It actually enters a completely new era of construction. In translation, the name means “brick house”. The name already emphasizes that it is built from sustainable bricks. They have been used in the construction industry for quite a few years.
ZiHaus has the task of connecting traditional construction techniques with modern regulations, and above all sustainability. These houses should last over a hundred years. But what are the innovative techniques that these houses offer?
The first and very important thing is that ZiHaus is a house without heating. It works very simply. The bricks from which the house is built act as a natural storage mass. This means that they are able to store heat from warm days for winter, and conversely cold from cold days for summer tropical heat.
In this way, you will save on radiators and air conditioning, as the bricks will take care of everything. Another advantage of ZiHouse is that it is a self-sufficient building that does not depend on electricity from the public grid. How is that possible? By combining a photovoltaic system and a small wind turbine providing the necessary electricity.
New house, new lifestyle
What is also important is that ZiHaus places great emphasis on the sustainability of materials. The insulation is, for example, foam glass from Lower Bavaria. For now, ZiHaus is in an experimental phase, where volunteers learn to live in the new revolutionary house and adapt their lifestyle to it, which now revolves around sustainability.
You all probably know that sustainability and green thinking are extremely important in today’s materialistic age where inflation will not go down at any cost. Therefore, if the experiment were successful and ZiHaus thus entered the official “sale”, it could mean not only financial, but also ecological relief for many people in the world. what about you Would you like your ZiHaus like this?
