Bar owner hears crying and helps locate raped child in PR, says police chief

The Paraná Civil Police continues to investigate the case of rape against a 4-year-old child, registered in Rio Azul, in the central region of Paraná. A. The bar owner was the one who heard the victim crying in a field and called the Military Police (PMPR).

According to delegate Thiago França Nunes, from PCPR, the child was missing his clothes and was very weak when he was located by the military police.

“The bar owner heard the child crying and called the police, who went with the mother. She also had a lot of blood. She and her mother were taken to the hospital for treatment.”

Furthermore, Nunes stated that the suspect locked himself in the bar’s bathroom to try to wash himself, as he had blood on his face and clothes. “This blood is most likely not his,” said the delegate.

According to the police chief, the man being investigated for abusing the child was found by residents, who took him back to the bar. “It was necessary to use force and handcuff him,” explained Nunes.

The will hear witnesses and awaits the reports on the materials collected from the child and the suspect to conclude the investigations.

“We already have enough evidence. He will answer for rape of a vulnerable person. Two more people will be interviewed, including the mother, who will be assessed for her failure to take the girl to a night bar. The woman involved in the confusion with her mother will also give a statement”, concluded the delegate.
