Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin , , in yet another break-in at the home of a high profile professional athlete.
The theft happened “this past weekend” and details “of the situation will not be made public as this is an ongoing investigation,” according to a statement issued by the Penguins.
The 38-year-old Malkin has tallied 506 goals in his storied career, good for . The Penguins have hoisted the Stanley Cup three times since Malkin arrived in Pittsburgh in the fall of 2006.
“We are working closely with local authorities and team security,” the team added. “Malkin has requested that his privacy be respected during this time and we will have no further comment on the matter.”
