Eight homemade weapons were seized, along with ammunition and drugs, in a Military Police operation carried out in Colombo, in Greater Curitiba. Two men were arrested in the act this Tuesday (14).
According to , four submachine guns, four pistols, ammunition, portions of marijuana and crack, a precision scale and materials for packaging drugs were seized.
The operation began when Military Police officers approached a suspicious car on Rodovia da Uva. When searching the vehicle, a homemade pistol and 10 rounds of ammunition were located, and the driver of the car was arrested.
Next, the team went to a house in Jardim Monza, in Colombo, where a second suspect was detained. The rest of the material was seized at the scene.

The general commander of the PMPR, Colonel Jefferson Silva, highlighted the relevance of the operation: “We are firm in combating organized crime, especially in the fight against drug trafficking and the circulation of illegal weapons. These actions are essential to guarantee greater security and tranquility for the population of Paraná.”
The suspects and the seized material were sent to the Paraná Civil Police Station in Colombo for appropriate procedures.
