Motorpor inaugurates its new facilities in Faro this Thursday, January 16th, marking a relevant milestone in the Group’s expansion and strengthening its presence in the Algarve. This modern space, the result of an investment of around 5 million euros, includes seven car brands, including the first DS Automobiles concession in the region.
This new unit brings innovative sustainable mobility solutions and a diverse portfolio of automotive products and services to customers.
In addition to the direct economic impact, with the creation of more than 30 new jobs, this investment provides a global Stellantis offer, adjusted to the distribution model of the future, allowing it to respond more efficiently to consumer needs. The new space has a total area of 9 thousand square meters, with 3,400 meters allocated to the construction area, where showrooms for the brands Fiat/Fiat Profissional, Abarth, Peugeot, Opel, Citroën, Jeep and DS are installed.
During the inauguration ceremony, guests will have the opportunity to see first-hand the new DS Nº8, a model that represents the fusion between French elegance and technological innovation. This is the brand’s first 100% electric creation, standing out for offering a range of 750 kilometers.
“The opening of the new facilities in Faro represents more than just growth in terms of space for Motorpor; It constitutes an investment in the future and is a declaration of our commitment to the innovation and excellence that have always characterized this company. We are proud to continue investing in the Algarve, generating jobs and strengthening our role as a reference mobility partner in the region”, highlights Manuel Coutinho, CEO of Grupo Motorpor.
The person in charge also adds that “another example of our investment in this region and in this sector is the protocol that we will sign, on this same day, with CEPRA (Center for Professional Training for Automobile Repair). This agreement will allow the creation of this center’s first training hub in the Algarve, whose objective is to reinforce the employability of trainees in the region and, at the same time, integrate the most qualified into our human resources teams. The first result of this partnership will be a training initiative for unemployed people in the area of body repair, with a curriculum developed jointly”.
With 269 employees, in 2024, revenue was close to R$100 million. Its commercial performance includes the sale of more than 3,000 new and 1,800 used vehicles, totaling almost 5,000 units last year.
