The ambassador cake is perfect for birthdays, name days, holidays or other important celebrations. You can also serve them with your Sunday coffee. There are many versions of this cake, e.g. one with jelly, but we present the traditional recipe. Let’s start with the ingredients – what products do we need?
Ingredients for the sponge cake:
- 10 eggs;
- 10 tablespoons of wheat flour;
- 12 tablespoons of sugar;
- 4 tablespoons of cocoa;
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder.
Ingredients for the cream:
- 2 sticks of butter;
- 2 packages of vanilla puddings;
- 2 packages of vanilla sugar;
- 3 cups of milk;
- 1 cup of powdered sugar;
- 12 peach halves with syrup.
To make the ambassador cake, first prepare the sponge cake. To do this, separate the egg whites from the yolks and beat them with sugar until a fluffy mass is formed. Then gradually add the yolks, continuing to beat the mixture. In the next step, sift cocoa with wheat flour and baking powder. Finally, pour it into a form lined with baking paper.
Bake the sponge cake in an oven preheated to 170 degrees Celsius for 40-50 minutes.. After this time, take it out and set it aside to cool.
Then we start making the cream. Dissolve the pudding powder in 1 glass of milk and boil the rest. Then add the pudding and vanilla sugar to the boiled milk and cook until the mixture thickens.
Then rub the butter with powdered sugar until fluffy and add the cooled pudding mass. Set aside 1/3 of it and add the larger part of the diced peaches.
Cut the sponge cake into three layers and layer them with most of the mixture, and spread the remaining cream without peaches on top of the ambassador cake.. Finally, we decorate the cake with nuts. Place the prepared dessert in the refrigerator for 3 hours, or preferably overnight, to harden.
