The death of a couple in an apartment in the Sítio Cercado neighborhood, in Curitiba, continues to be investigated by the Civil Police. André Lambert de Souza Filho was the target of the shooters and was accompanied by Mirella Bertoni, 18 years old, who . The young woman had no history of crimes and the reason for her murder is still a mystery.
André was a resident of Paranaguá and Mirela de Pontal do Paraná, cities on the coast of the state. According to information gathered by RICtv, none of them live in the apartment where the couple were executed in the capital of Paraná.
According to the Military Police, neighbors heard approximately ten gunshots. Mirella was found on the sofa and André on the apartment’s balcony. Furthermore, some witnesses told the police that there was intense activity in the apartment on the night of the crime.
Reporter William Bittar found that, around midnight, a vehicle arrived at the building and parked in the apartment’s own space. At this moment, a passenger got out, rang the intercom and was allowed to enter the property by André. The other two occupants also got out of the car, went up the stairs and went to the apartment where the couple was killed. After the crime, the three returned to the vehicle and fled.
The vehicle used in the couple’s execution was found by the police, shortly after the crime, already partially destroyed by fire.
André had several stints with the police
André Lambert Filho already has several police experience and has four arrest warrants since 2017, for robbery and drug trafficking. He was imprisoned from 2021 until July 2024, but was considered a fugitive after breaking his electronic ankle bracelet in September.
The motivation for André’s murder would be because the victim was supplying weapons and drugs to the faction’s rivals and had declared war on the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC).
Young man’s death still a mystery
The motivation for young Mirella’s execution is still a mystery for the Civil Police. The young woman had no criminal record and no police report. Police believe she may have been killed to ensure impunity for the shooters.
Couple executed and family mourns young man’s death
The crime took place between the night of Sunday (12) and the early hours of Monday (13). , opened the gate with a remote control and gained access to the victims’ block after calling an apartment. After the crime, the suspects fled and set fire to the vehicle used.
Mirella’s family and friends used social media to mourn her death. The young woman was buried this Monday (13), in Santo Antônio de Itararé, where the victim’s mother lives.
“My beautiful niece, how many dreams died with you, how much sadness I feel at your departure. You were always telling me with pride that everyone said you were my favorite when I was a teenager, I always told you I wish I was as beautiful as you were. How it hurts to know that you left in such a tragic way, the penny hasn’t dropped yet, may God welcome you with all the love he has, and give us the strength to stay here strong with your departure, my love, I will love you forever my beautiful”, published an aunt of the victim.
Another friend of the victim also mourned the death. “I will never help you choose your nails again. I hope he welcomes you!”, he wrote.
