The former president () said this Thursday (16) that his wife, Michelle Bolsonaro, will go to the inauguration on the 20th.
He also said that, from the (Supreme Federal Court), in releasing the passport, there is still an appeal.
“This passport issue is still at stake. I have a team of lawyers who asked me not to go into the details of the process because there is an appeal, a lot is to come,” he said, in an interview with Oeste magazine’s YouTube channel.
“My wife will go there. She was invited along with me, she will do her part. I have spoken to some close to Trump and she will receive very special treatment”, he added.
Michelle did not have her passport seized. Bolsonaro did not detail what special treatment the former first lady would have.
Moraes justified, in his decision, that Bolsonaro has already publicly stated that he is in favor of the escape of convicts in cases of investigation and their clandestine stay abroad, especially in Argentina, to avoid the application of the law and judicial decisions.
He also stated that no evidentiary document was included in the case that demonstrated the existence of an invitation made by the elected president of the USA to Bolsonaro, as alleged by the former president’s defense.
