Fuvest will announce next Friday (17) the names of candidates approved in the first call of the Enem-USP 2025 selection process. The list will be accessible on the Fuvest website from noon, allowing interested parties to check their status. Of the 1,500 places available for undergraduate courses at the University of São Paulo, 684 are open to broad competition. Furthermore, 512 places are reserved for students from public schools, while 304 are aimed at PPI students, which include black, mixed race and indigenous people.

Successful candidates must pre-register virtually between January 20th and 21st. Effective enrollment will take place later, between February 24th and 26th, guaranteeing the formalization of the entry of new students into the institution. The courses offered cover three main areas: biological sciences, exact sciences and human sciences.

The National High School Exam, known as Enem, was created in 1998 and is currently used by approximately 500 higher education institutions as a selection criterion. USP began using Enem through Sisu in 2016 and, from 2023, began to adopt the Enem-USP system.

According to information from Fuvest, 29.2% of candidates who registered for the 2025 entrance exam came from public schools, and 66.8% studied in private schools. Data demonstrate how there is still a gap in relation to the number of poorer students who are able to enter .
