São Paulo’s main reinforcement for the 2025 season, Oscar made his debut for the São Paulo team this Wednesday (15) against Cruzeiro, in a match valid for the FC Series, at the Inter&Co Stadium, in Orlando, in the United States. The teams tied 1-1.
Back after 14 years, the midfielder replaced Lucas Moura at halftime after Zubeldía made 11 changes to the squad. Playing in the second half, the player was involved, providing good passes.
The number 8 received a yellow card 20 minutes into the second half after a foul on Wallace.
“I’m happy to debut, I was able to make some plays, create some plays. It’s just the beginning, the first friendly of the season. Also getting to know our own players more. I’m happy for my debut”, commented Oscar.
“It was a mix of what we trained during the week. Physically our team is fine, but Cruzeiro’s team keeps the ball a lot. But our team reacted well, we lost at the beginning, we created a lot of plays, we could have turned things around in the second half. For the start of the season, it was excellent”, said the midfielder.
