The challah recipe includes both the preparation of the dough and the tasty crumble. The given proportions yield two challahs. They are there to make them the following ingredients are needed:
- 500 g of cake flour
- 60 g butter
- 30 g of fresh yeast
- 60 g butter
- A pinch of salt
- ¼ cup of sugar
- ¼ cup of olive oil
- 3 yolks
- A teaspoon of vanilla extract

- 40 g of cold butter

Preparation method:
Start preparing challah by melting the butter and adding olive oil and milk. Heat everything up, but not too hot. In a separate bowl, crush the yeast and add sugar, egg yolks and salt. Mix everything thoroughly to create a uniform mass.
Sift the flour into a large bowl, adding mixed yeast with egg yolkas well as warmed butter with milk and olive oil. Also add vanilla extract. Combine the ingredients to create a smooth, uniform and compact dough. It should not be sticky.
Then divide them into 6 equal pieces and from each of them prepare a roll about 25 cm long. Weave a braid using three such rollers, which will become a delicious challah. Fold the beginning and end of the braid underneath.
Place the prepared challah on a baking tray covered with baking paper and proceed to make the crumble. To do this, combine flour, sugar and butter. Sprinkle the resulting product over both challahs and leave the mixture to rise for literally 15 minutes. During this time, turn on the oven so that it has time to heat up to 180 degrees Celsius. Bake the challah bread in it for about 20 minutes until it turns golden. Serve the finished baked goods alone or with your favorite additions. Enjoy your meal!
