There is no better idea for a sweet breakfast, especially when you have more time, for example on the weekend. Fluffy American style pancakescalled pancakes, are simply delicious. No wonder children and adults like to eat them so much.
To make this recipe you need the following ingredients:
- 250 g of wheat flour,
- 450 ml buttermilk,
- 3 eggs,
- 40 g sugar,
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder,
- 50 g of butter,
- a little butter for frying.
Melt the butter and cool.
In a bowl, beat the eggs with the buttermilk. Add all dry ingredients: flour, sugar and baking powder. Mix thoroughly to avoid lumps. Finally, add melted butter and gently combine. Set the mixture aside for about 15 minutes to rest.
Heat the pan on medium heat. Melt a little butter on it – no puddles of fat should form. Spread the butter using clumped paper towels.
Put a spoonful of the mixture onto one pancake. Fry slowly. Air bubbles should appear on the surface of the cake. When they start to crack, it’s a sign that the pancakes should be turned over. Fry the second side for about half the time of the first side.
You can also use the rings for frying – this will make the pancakes taller. However, you need to reduce the heat so that the peel does not burn while the inside remains raw.
Place the finished pancakes in layers on a plate. This will prevent them from being rubbery inside.
American style pancakes serve with maple syrup and your favorite fruit.
