The high commissioner of the HIM for Refugees, Filippo Grandimade this Thursday in kyiv a call to the international community to maintain its support for the Ukrainians affected by the guerraand asked to mobilize 3.32 billion dollars (about 3,224 million euros) to help the 8.2 million people who need assistance inside and outside the country.
“This is not the time to forget the millions of Ukrainians who have been forced to flee their homes and, in many cases, their country,” said the high commissioner in the Ukrainian capital after visiting several regions of the front and meeting with victims. of the Russian military invasion.
Grandi highlighted the efforts of the countries that have welcomed refugees Ukrainians during the almost three years of war, and stressed the importance of continuing to help those who have sought refuge outside its borders.
At the kyiv event, Grandi presented two action plans by 2025 together with the UN Undersecretary General for Humanitarian Affairs, Tom Fletcher. One of them is dedicated to helping refugees, while another covers the humanitarian emergencies generalities created by the conflict.
According to UN estimates, more than 12.7 million people need help in Ukraine, and more than 6.8 million Ukrainians have taken refuge in other countries after the outbreak of war.
Plan general
The general humanitarian plan contemplates providing food, medical attention, accommodation, cashemergency response training and other protection to 6 million people this year.
The program gives priority to the most vulnerable and requires 2.62 billion dollars (about 2.62 billion euros) to be carried out.
The refugee plan plans to provide support to 11 countries in the region so that they can maintain aid with access to housing, work, health, services and legal assistance to more than 2 million Ukrainian refugees residing in its territory.
To meet the UN objectives in this chapter, an amount of 690.3 million dollars (about 670.3 million euros) will be needed in 2025.

Some 5.8 million people in regions near the front received water, hygiene products and access to sewage thanks to the UN, which last year guaranteed medical services to 2 million Ukrainians and offered various types of aid to more than one million refugees in other countries.
