A trio of young Vietnamese attacked a man in Martin: They threw him to the ground from behind and then it happened

Three 21-year-old men from the Republic of Vietnam are facing charges of the crime of attempted bodily harm in conjunction with the crime of rioting committed as an accomplice. As TASR was informed by Žilina regional police spokeswoman Zuzana Šefčíková, the accused Vietnamese on Saturday, January 11 they physically attacked a 41-year-old man in Martin.

The reason for the physical attack in front of the entrance to the apartment building was a dispute over the keys to a private game room. “The attackers threw the man to the ground from behind, where they kicked him primarily in the head, but also in other parts of the body. The victim tried to defend himself and covered his head with his hand. However, this did not prevent the attackers from continuing their actions, continuing to kick the head, especially in the sleeping area, and jump on it. Later after the attack, they verbally threatened to kill the man,” added Šefčíková.

She added that despite his injuries, the man later came to the hospital himself. “During the examinations at the hospital, the victim was contacted by two attackers again, with the aim of blackmailing him. The police identified the suspects in a short time and detained them with the prior consent of the prosecutor,” added Šefčíková.

The investigator of the District Directorate of the Police Force in Martin, after securing the necessary evidence and carrying out procedural actions, charged three 21-year-old men from the Republic of Vietnam the accusation for the crime of bodily harm in the stage of attempt in conjunction with the crime of rioting committed as an accomplice and two of them also for the crime of extortion, and at the same time processed the initiative for their custodial prosecution.
