The former president () spoke this Thursday (16) about the plans he has for his family in the 2026 general elections. According to him, his wife and sons Flávio and Eduardo are competing for seats in the . Carlos and Jair Renan should leave for the Chamber. Thus, five members of the family intend to compete for seats in the National Congress.
In an interview with Oeste magazine’s YouTube channel, Bolsonaro was asked about possible candidacies by the influencer (), the singer and Michelle. He replied that he would not talk about the first two.
According to Bolsonaro, Michelle was a fundamental figure in the election of (-DF) to the Senate.
“Damares herself said that Michelle was decisive in her campaign. Damares is a positive surprise. Michelle would have Damares’ support, and mine. I’m sure that most evangelicals are sympathetic to her. So she has an election here with a lot of chance in DF. So here it is closed”, he said.
In addition to his wife, he mentioned his children, already in elected positions. He is a senator for Rio de Janeiro, a federal deputy for São Paulo, a councilor in Rio de Janeiro, and was a councilor in (SC), all for PL.
