Its Supreme Court rejected the former president’s request to have his passport returned to him in order to travel to the US for the inauguration of Donald Trump.
The decision follows accusations against Bolsonaro for an alleged coup attempt after he lost the 2022 election, according to Reuters.
His passport was seized by the court in February 2024 as part of the legal proceedings against the charges against him.
