Agreement includes football and basketball teams, with uniforms debuting in a pre-season tournament game in the USA
Flamengo officially, on Thursday (16 January 2025), signed a new agreement with , a marketplace operating in Brazil. The partnership seeks to increase Shopee’s visibility among fans and offer a new platform for purchasing official club products. The Shopee brand will be displayed on the sleeves of the football team’s football shirts and shorts, with its debut scheduled for the men’s football team’s pre-season match in Orlando, United States, on January 19th.
The sponsorship contract with Shopee was approved by Flamengo’s Deliberative Council on Tuesday (14 January 2025) and is valued at R$ 12 million. The agreement lasts 1 year and will be paid in 3 installments throughout 2025, according to the GE.
The partnership includes the men’s football, women’s football and men’s basketball teams, in addition to the opening of Flamengo’s official store on Shopee. The store will offer official products, such as the club’s new uniform, which will be available from January 30th on Shopee, Adidas and in licensed stores. The agreement also provides for initiatives such as discounts, exclusive coupons and content on social networks with the participation of players.
In addition to the partnership with Shopee, Flamengo signed new contracts with Texaco, ABC da Construção and inDrive, adding more than R$20 million in additional revenue. With these agreements, the club plans to surpass the R$245 million raised in 2024 and reach R$255 million in 2025.
