Guests' Favorite Delicacy. Inconspicuous balls conceal a filling filling

On a plate, the Guest Delicacy looks very interesting and intriguing. At first glance, it’s hard to tell what kind of dish it is. The guests’ delicacy is delicious minced meat snack, which hides chewy mozzarella. The whole thing is densely covered with puff pastry, thanks to which the dish is pleasantly crispy on the outside. This appetizer will disappear from your plate immediately, so it’s best to prepare a double portion in advance.

Ingredients:

  • a large sheet of puff pastry,
  • 500 g of ground beef or turkey,
  • 100 g mozzarella, sliced
  • egg in size L or XL,
  • 50 g breadcrumbs,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of oregano,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of basil,
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper,
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of granulated garlic,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of granulated onion,
  • egg for brushing.

How to do it:

In a bowl, mix the minced meat, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic and all spices until uniform. Cut the mozzarella into 18 cubes, approx. 5 mm each. Form 18 meat balls from the mixture. Flatten them slightly and put a piece of cheese in the middle. Mix the meat well so that the cheese does not leak out during baking.

Unroll the puff pastry and cut it into thin strips about 5-6 cm long. On the worktop, arrange them in a fairly dense plume with a common center in the center. Place one meatball in the center of each flower. Wrap the strips around the meat and seal them well at the top.

Transfer the meatballs to a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Beat the egg and brush it on top of the puff pastry strips.

Put the snack in the oven set to 200 degrees Celsius. Bake it for about 15-20 minutes, until the dough is browned and the meat loses its rawness. Remove the delicacy from your guests with a spatula and put it on a plate. Serve warm with your favorite dip or sauce.
