In September 1991, the Austrian television audience was confronted with a pilot film of a slightly different kind. The first episode of the series was shown on FS 2, as the second program was called at the time Twin Peaks. From America, where not everything was immediately available before the Internet, there had been reports of something completely new for a while. A soap opera about a small town in which a young blonde named Laura Palmer comes into contact with evil itself. And then there was the name of the director: David Lynch, co-creator with Mark Frost.
