Federal deputy Domingos Sávio, president of Minas Gerais, said that the decision that prevented the former president (PL) shows us the authoritarian profile of the minister, of the (Supreme Federal Court).
“A man full of hate, persecuting for ideological or personal reasons not only President Bolsonaro, but a political line,” said Sávio.
In the justification for denying the former president’s visit to the inauguration of the American president, Moraes mentioned the existence of a risk of Bolsonaro fleeing, indicted in cases such as the 2022 coup plot.
Sávio stated that Bolsonaro would not flee because he represents the feelings of more than half of the Brazilian population and highlighted that he is not even a defendant in the case.
“O [presidente] () was a defendant, was not indicted, and . Bolsonaro is not even a defendant and is prohibited from responding to the invitation of the greatest authority in the democratic world,” said the deputy, in reference to Trump.
