Brunna Rosa leaves and Mariah Queiroz takes her place; the change was published in the DOU this Friday (17.jan)
Secom (Secretariat of Communication) fired Brunna Rosa, an ally of First Lady Janja Lula da Silva. She was appointed to the position by the president’s wife (PT) and was part of other PT governments, in addition to coordinating the digital communication of the PT’s electoral campaign in 2022.
Mariah Queiroz Costa Silva will occupy the chair of the Secretariat of Strategies and Networks. The exchange was published in the DOU (Official Gazette of the Union) this Friday (January 17, 2025). Read (PDF – 100 kB).
The new Secretary of Strategy and Networks worked with the social networks of the mayor of Recife (PE), João Campos (PSB). They were at Palácio do Planalto on Thursday morning (16 January), and spoke with President Lula.
How the Poder360members of the mayor’s team were interviewed by the minister of Secom, Sidônio Palmeira. Recife City Hall’s communications chief, Rafael Marroquim, has not accepted a position at Planalto for now, but agreed to help informally with government networks and provide part of his team.
Secom’s idea is to work with President Lula’s networks in the same way as João Campos’ networks, since he was re-elected in the 1st round with 78.11% of the votes in 2024, while the head of the Executive has 50% disapproval , from Gerp.
