The Brasiliense Union of Hospitals, Health Homes and Clinics (SBH) issued, this Thursday (16/1), a note of repudiation regarding the attack against three women committed by delegate Mikhail Rocha e Menezes, 46 years old. The statement “deeply regrets” what happened.
The text classifies the crime as an “attack on human dignity”. “The episode that occurred, involving a delegate removed from the Civil Police, not only exposes women to unacceptable risks, but also affects the safety of all professionals who dedicate their lives to caring for others, such as what happened with the injured head of nursing during the exercise of their profession”, states the SBH.
“We reiterate our unwavering commitment to defending life, safety and respect for all people, especially women who face the reality of gender-based violence on a daily basis.”
Finally, the union sympathizes with the victims and “the entire community impacted by this act of violence”.
