Minister of the STF banned the former president from attending Trump’s inauguration; the Foreign Affairs collegiate praised the former head of the Executive

The Foreign Relations Committee of the United States House of Representatives, controlled by the Republican Party, criticized, this Thursday (Dec 16, 2025), the decision of the minister of the (Federal Supreme Court), which banned the former president (PL) to participate in Trump’s inauguration, scheduled for the 20th.

BOLSONARO’S ALLIES REACT

The deputy (PL-SP), son of former president Jair Bolsonaro, reacted to a post on the official profile of the Foreign Relations Committee of the United States House of Representatives with an extensive text in English.

In the comment, he stated that Minister Alexandre de Moraes’ decision compromises Brazil’s credibility, comparing it to the situation in Venezuela, and claimed that the former president is being the target of political persecution.

Eduardo also stated that there is no risk of flight that justifies the seizure of his father’s passport and cited the president (PT). “It’s all just an excuse to harm the work of the politician of Lula da Silva’s biggest opponent.”

The minister of the STF (Supreme Federal Court) Alexandre de Moraes this Thursday (16.Jan.2025) released the passport of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) to attend the inauguration of the elected president of the United States, Donald Trump (Republican ).

The former president asked the Court, last Friday (10 January), for authorization to attend Trump’s inauguration scheduled for next Monday (20 January) at the Capitol, in Washington. His passport has been seized due to the investigation into the alleged coup attempt at the end of 2022.
