The Slovak police took over 55-year-old Vladimír K. from their Czech colleagues on Friday., who was detained at the beginning of January on the basis of a European arrest warrant. A man is accused of murdering his wife in Hrvatske Grob. TASR was informed about this by the spokesperson of the Presidium of the Police (PZ) Martina Sláviková.
“The police brought the man to the relevant court in Bratislava, which will carry out the necessary further criminal-procedural actions,” Sláviková added that if found guilty, he faces a prison sentence of 20 to 25 years or life imprisonment.
Vladimír K. from the Senec district is accused of murdering his 49-year-old wifeto which he was supposed to arrive on Monday, January 6, at the family home in Hrvatsky Grob. He was then supposed to travel to the Czech Republic, where he was arrested.
The police found him in a short time, already heavily intoxicated, in a parked car in the city of Brno. An ambulance was called and gave him first aid. Members of the National SIRENE Center of the Office of International Police Cooperation, in cooperation with colleagues from the Bratislava Police Emergency Department, subsequently took over the man.
