According to Bolsonaro, he suffers “blatant persecution” from the minister. “I’m upset, I’m still shaken, but I face enormous political persecution from a person, who decides the lives of millions of people in Brazil,” he said.
The former president spoke to journalists, as he accompanied his wife, Michelle Bolsonaro, to Brasília Airport. She will go to Washington to represent the former president at Trump’s inauguration.
Bolsonaro criticized Moraes and said that the minister “does what he wants”, with the intention of “eliminating the right in Brazil”.
“Regrettably, I was unable to attend this event in the United States and without having any convictions. […] They won’t beat us with narratives. A person in the STF cannot be the owner of the truth, the owner of the world”, he declared.
