The deputy offered R$1 million for the Minister of Finance to prove that Bolsonaro and the PL financed the viral against the inspection of the payment method
The Minister of Finance, (PT), ignored that of the federal deputy (PL-MG) to prove that the (Liberal Party) financed and produced the viral story about the changes in Pix inspection, which had more than 318 million views on the website. The head of the government’s economic team (PT) posted an excerpt from one he gave on Friday (17 January) to CNN in which he claims that Nikolas had the support of (PL) and marketer Duda Lima, who ran the former president’s campaign in 2022, to prepare the video.
“I believe that Bolsonaro is a little behind this, because the PL financed Nikolas’ video. Duda Lima was the one who did the production, who is Bolsonaro’s marketer”said Haddad.

In response, Nikolas stated that he would pay R$1 million to Haddad if the minister proved that Lima and Bolsonaro were “behind the video”.
“But if not, he does it for me. On Pix, of course. What’s up, Haddad?”he wrote.
In the same interview, the minister declared that Bolsonaro and his children “have a problem” with the Federal Revenue. The head of the economic team mentions the case of “rachadinhas”.
“They were investigated, but they have a problem with the IRS. They didn’t choose the IRS [para criticar] for another reason. So, they were left with a magnifying glass over bureaucratic acts, which have been taken for over 20 years”he stated.
The former president responded that he will sue him. According to him, the minister “has nothing to do” and “always accuses me of something”.

On Wednesday (Jan 15), the government backed down and decided to overturn the normative instruction that increased supervision over transfers above R$5,000 from Pix to individuals.
The retreat came after strong opposition to the measure. On social media, Nikolas Ferreira led the anti-inspection movement.
In the viral video, Nikolas Ferreira states that the government wants to monitor informal workers as if they were “big tax evaders”.
