Navy searches continue 28 days after bridge collapse between MA and TO

After 28 days of the collapse of a bridge on the border between Maranhão and Tocantins, together with the task force made up of the various bodies that have been operating in the area since then, the search continues at the site.

. In a statement released this Saturday (18/1), the Navy reported that 72 soldiers still operate in the region.

In addition to these military personnel, firefighters, employees from environmental agencies and public security are working on the search.

Opened in the 1960s, the Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira bridge connected the states of Maranhão and Tocantins.
