- president, vice-president and senator: from 35 to 30 years old;
- governor and vice-governor: from 30 to 28 years old;
- deputy, mayor and vice-mayor: from 21 to 20 years old.
Eros Biondini needs to collect at least 171 signatures from deputies so that the PEC can be presented. If the congressman obtains this endorsement, the text will pass through the main committees, before going to the Chamber plenary in 2 rounds. If approved, it will go to the Senate.
Biondini said ao Poder360 that if the former president (PL) is ineligible in 2026, “Nikolas becomes the strongest candidate for President, however, the Senate would be the natural path”.
“I am a pre-candidate for the Senate for the PL, and this shows that I am not legislating for my own sake because obviously I would not run with Nikolas for the Senate, unless it was a joint construction”declared Eros Biondini.
In his publication on the X profile, Nikolas says that if the PEC is approved by both the Chamber and the Senate, it does not need President Lula’s sanction. This is because amendments to the Constitution are prepared by the National Congress, without any interference from the President of the Republic, who can only present a PEC, but not veto or sanction it.
Thus, according to the Federal Constitution, after a PEC is approved in each House of Congress, in 2 rounds, by 3/5 of the votes of the respective members, it will be promulgated by the Boards of the Chamber of Deputies and the Federal Senate.
