After the international repercussion of “I’m Still Here”, the actor will make his debut in and will be part of the cast of a new version of Anaconda. The information was confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter magazine this Friday (17). According to the magazine, Selton will join names like Thandiwe Newton, Steve Zahn and Ione Skye. The film will star Paul Rudd and Jack Black and will be directed by Tom Gormican.
Sources interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter stated that the new film will be a comical reinterpretation of the horror franchise. The first Anaconda premiered in 1997 and had names like Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson in the cast. The plot will involve a group of friends who, in the midst of a mid-life crisis, go to a tropical forest to remake their favorite film from their youth. Selton will play a Brazilian animal tamer. According to the magazine, recordings had already started in Australia.
Recently, another North American magazine, Variety, bet on the nominations for “I’m Still Here” in three categories at the Oscars: Best Film, Best International Film and Best Actress, for Fernanda Torres. The nominees for the biggest cinema award will be announced next Thursday (23).
