The US Supreme Court wants China out of TikTok in the country

The United States Supreme Court confirmed that the law approved by Congress and sanctioned by President Joe Biden in April last year is valid. This means that the Chinese company that owns TikTok, Byte Dance, must abandon the social platform’s holdings in the United States or the application will be banned, which should happen as early as Sunday. The judges unanimously ruled that the law does not violate citizens’ freedom of expression, after many congressmen argued that the social network is spying on Americans, which meets the needs of the Chinese Communist Party. However, the US press says that the president-elect may approve an executive order that allows TikTok to remain operational for two to three months, while Byte Dance seeks other options. Trump said on social media on Friday that he had not yet made a decision. There are over 170 million TikTok users in the US.
