Fog may occur in several districts in central and eastern Slovakia. This was pointed out by the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) and therefore issued warnings of the first degree with preliminary validity until the morning of January 19.
Meteorologists warn of fog with visibility of 50 to 200 meters in the Banskobystrica and Žilina regions, it may also appear in the Prešov and Košice regions. “The occurrence of fog with the above visibility is common at the given time of year and area, but it can cause minor damage,” they said.
