The president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, and his team plan to begin mass detentions of undocumented immigrants starting next Tuesday, one day after his inauguration, as admitted by the head of immigration policies of the future Administration. Chicago is just one of many places,” the new ‘border czar’ explained.
According to the American newspaper, the arrests in Chicago would start on Tuesday and last all week, with the participation of between 100 and 200 agents immigration authorities of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE). Trump was elected president with mass deportations of migrants as one of his main promises. The conservative newspaper New York Post also published this Friday that, in addition to Chicago, New York will be one of the first places where Trump’s macro-raids will take place.
