The number of debtors with the most significant participation in December is in the age group of 30 to 39 years old (23.64%). According to the estimate, there are 16.90 million people registered in the debtors’ registry in this age group, that is, 49.76% of Brazilians in this age group are negative.
The participation of debtors by gender is well distributed, with 51.16% women and 48.84% men.
In December, 31.09% of consumers had debts worth up to R$500.
In terms of participation, the creditor sector that concentrated most of the debts is Banks, with 64.62% of the total. Next comes Water and Light (10.87%) and Commerce (10.32%).
When breaking down by region in relation to the number of debts, the biggest increase came from the Central-West region (7.55%), followed by the Southeast (2.16%), Northeast (1.93%) and North (1.57%). %). On the other hand, the South (‐0.85%) showed a drop in the number of debts in the annual comparison.
In regional terms, the highest percentage of defaulters is in the Central-West region, where 44.82% of the adult population is included in debtors’ registers. On the other hand, in the South region, the proportion of negative people is equivalent to 37% of the adult population.
