Madrid – A little more than 13 months after tearing his cruciate ligament, Austria’s soccer team captain David Alaba celebrated his comeback on Sunday. The 32-year-old came on as a substitute in Real Madrid’s 4-1 home league win against Las Palmas in the 76th minute to frenetic cheers from the crowd. The ÖFB star tore the cruciate ligament in his left knee in a Spanish LaLiga game against Villarreal on December 17, 2023.
